Ian Mune
Ian Mune OBE is a New Zealand actor, director, and writer for stage and screen, covering six decades. In recent years he has built a career as an artist. So far, he has produced 60 or 70 canvases, a mix of life-drawing, portraits and colourful landscapes and about thirty sculptures.
“Writing, directing, acting for stage or screen is the same job using different tools. The same applies to painting and sculpture; the aim is always to uncover the truth - the truth of character, of action, relationship, the truth of place or person. It’s why the Dog Art Auction immediately appealed.
