The Paws for Purpose project is particularly special to Angie as she has been a puppy walker for Guide Dogs NZ with 3 puppies. Angie has been established artist & print maker since 2002, combining a love of nature with a keen eye for interior design has made Angie Dennis one of our most popular printmakers. Fresh, bold and vibrant, her native flora designs are both detailed and contemporary and work beautifully in any home setting.

About The Artist:
Angie Dennis
Created in the colourful style of established artist Angie Dennis, this piece represents the trusting bond between the dog and the dog handler. The fantails on the dog’s back are flying through the window to symbolise the freedom & movement the dog provides when the harness is put on. The Lily flowers surrounding the dog represent the compassion from the public, the grass as grounding for both the dog and the blind person. Angie wanted this piece to be tactile so she has used her fine art prints to add texture alongside her painted artwork. The piece also features braille to explain the title and the subject matter.

Angie studied environmental science which perhaps explains her love for preserving flora and fauna in her artworks. Angie is continually inspired by the unique landscape of New Zealand and is constantly pushing boundaries on how she sees life in her newfound land.
Angie exhibits in a number of galleries around New Zealand and has just set up new studio at Victoria Park Market, where she creates her unique and original artwork.
