About the Artist
Jacky Pieper
Multi-Disciplinary Artist (3D Design, Sculpting, Painting, Jewellery and Fashion Design)
"With a technically-minded father and a creative mother, I grew up making and repairing things since I was 2.
I started out my career as an aeronautical and mechanical engineer while creating, painting and renovating in my spare time. I also studied interior and graphic design, watercolour and oil painting amongst many other things, always hungry for more knowledge :) The colours, textures and shapes in nature and architecture have always inspired me.
In 2000 I set up my Graphic Design company and after the birth of my son opened a fashion boutique where I designed and custom-made brides’ dresses and ball gowns, as well as creating ready-to-wear and jewellery. In 2018 I went to France to learn figurative sculpting from master sculptor Martine Vaugel. Since then I have mastered mold making, started glass casting and have been experimenting with casting in various metals.
I’ve taught several 3D and recycled-plastic art workshops at schools and ceramics and sculpture classes at our local art centre.
Giving this doggie a new look has been great fun (and challenging- too many ideas in my head) and I’m glad to have been part of raising funds for this wonderful cause."
